Law Day Essay Contest

Winners of the Law Day Essay Contest were honored Monday at Mercer County Probate/Juvenile Court. Third-place winner was Rose McGohan of Celina, the daughter of Stacy and Todd McGohan. She was awarded $50. The second-place winner was Andrea Vian of Celina, daughter of Evelyn and Keith Vian. She received $75. The first-place winner was Quad Gilmore of Celina, son of Matt and Amy Gilmore. He won a $100 prize. Also recognized were the students' teachers, Mike Kanney and David Mader of Celina Middle School. The group is pictured with members of the Mercer County Bar Association.

  The list of students honored by the Mercer County Bar Association contained incorrect information. The winner's name is Quade Gilmore. Teachers honored were Ryan Spriggs and David Mader. Incorrect information was provided to The Daily Standard.
