Mark Hoyng
Mark Alan Hoyng, 67, long time resident of Beavercreek passed away May 24, 2017.
After graduating from Coldwater High School, Mark decided he would serve others with his talents as a barber, and he did so for over 48 years. He was co-owner of Rikes Kettering and Wood Lane Barber Services for 37 of those years.
Many organizations benefitted from Mark's servant heart, including The Knights of Columbus, Dayton Ostomy Group, Pinochle Club, and Crescent Club. He was a friend of many and loved by all.
He enjoyed his sports and was an avid fan of Wright State Basketball, Ohio State, the Bengals, and the Reds. He was a loving Husband of 41 years, father, and grandfather.
Preceded in death by his parents Paul and Carrie (Boeke) Hoyng.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Matt and girlfriend, Amanda Zink; Nick and daughter-in-law, Mandy and grandson, Nolan; father and mother-in-laws, Eugene and JoAnn Mathes; brothers and sisters, Mary Ann (Gene) Reichert, John, Carl (Vicki), and Rita (Gary) Haliena; and sister-in-law, Kathy (Brian) Schnabel. He also leaves behind many
nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and a celebration of life will be at St. Helen Catholic Church in Riverside on Wednesday, May 31; visitation at 9 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. officiated by Fr. Jim Manning. Mark has requested all to dress in golf attire or casual.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Ohio or a charity of your choice.
