A crash Friday afternoon involving two trucks and a loaded cattle trailer resulted in one person being injured and an apartment being struck. According to a news release, Coldwater police officers were called at 1:38 p.m. for an injury accident at the corner of West Main Street and South Woodview Drive. A Chevrolet Silverado driven by Ethan C. Jutte, no age or town given, was northbound on Woodview and attempted to cross Main Street but drove into the path of an oncoming westbound Dodge 4500 flatbed truck pulling a cattle trailer containing several cows. The driver of the second truck was not identified in the report. The flatbed struck the passenger side of Jutte's truckĀ and then jack-knifed, coming to a stop in a yard at the northwest corner of the intersection. The collision caused Jutte's vehicle to crash into an apartment at 100 Woodview Drive. He was taken to Mercer County Community Hospital by Coldwater EMS with minor injuries. Police were assisted at the scene by the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, Coldwater Fire Department, Coldwater EMS and several witnesses. No other details were available.
