F. Eileen Bollenbacher
F. Eileen Bollenbacher, age 87, of Rockford passed away on July 26, 2017 at 11:32 PM at Coldwater Hospital.
She was born August 19, 1929 in Mercer County to George and Hulda (Roediger) Luth, both preceded her in death. On June 18, 1950, she married Donald Bollenbacher who passed away on December 18, 2016.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Charlene (David) Stephenson, Rockford, Joyce (Douglas) Laukhuf, Haviland, Diane (Grady) Shaner, St. Marys, & David (Vicki) Bollenbacher, Rockford; 9 grandchildren and their spouses, Bryan Stephenson (fiancee Kathy Thorpe), Rockford, John (Kelly) Stephenson, Rockford, Amy (Billy) Heilshorn, Ft. Wayne, IN, Trent Laukhuf, Van Wert, Scott (Erin) Laukhuf, Haviland, Grant (Stephanie) Shaner, St. Marys, Marcy (Vince) Stranger, Noblesville, IN, Derik (Kayla) Bollenbacher, Rockford, and Devin (Gena) Bollenbacher, Rockford; 21 great grandchildren; a brother, Harold (Vida) Luth, Moline, IL; sister, Janice (Jim) Christophel, Flower Mound, TX; brothers-in-law, Jerome Bollenbacher, Rockford & Clifford (Laurabel) Bollenbacher, Marion, OH; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Bollenbacher, Celina.
Eileen was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Helen, Alice, & Grace Luth; in-laws, Victor & Martha Bollenbacher, Ruth Bollenbacher, Lloyd Bollenbacher, and Vernon & Jane Luginbill.
She was a 1947 graduate of Celina High School. Eileen was a homemaker, avid gardener, and helped her husband farm for many years. Eileen was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, active in the women's fellowship, Bible study and had taught Sunday school for a number of years. She was also a member of the choir and past children's choir director. Eileen had been a member of the Rockford Flower Club, Tri Squares Square Dance Club, and Pioneer Squares Square Dance Club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her 9 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours will be from 2:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday morning at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, with Rev. Mark Rutledge officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Rockford.
