Celina teen dies in crash
Three others hurt

CELINA - A Celina teen was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle rollover accident that injured three other teens early Saturday morning.
This marks the seventh fatality in Mercer County this year, according to a Mercer County Sheriff's Office news release.
Anthony L. Mowery, 19, was driving a 2004 Buick sport utility vehicle eastbound on Monroe Road when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle, traveled off the north side of the roadway and rolled over the vehicle at about 2 a.m., according to the release. He reportedly was ejected from his vehicle.
Other passengers reportedly in the vehicle were Celina residents Nathan C. Bowman, 17; Corbin M. Houser, 17; and Quinton R. Springer, 15. All three passengers reportedly were transported to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater by Celina and Coldwater emergency medical services members, the release indicated.
A hospital spokesperson told the newspaper this morning the three victims were not listed as patients.
Celina City Schools Superintendent Ken Schmiesing said Mowery was a student at the Mercer County Alternative School, and the three others attended Celina High School.
He expressed his sympathy for the families of those involved.
"My prayers go out to the Mowery family and the other families of those recovering," he said.
Counseling will be available to students at the schools, Schmiesing noted.
Sheriff's Capt. Doug Timmerman this morning said investigators have not determined if alcohol or drugs were factors in the accident He believed all occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office traffic crash reconstruction team was called to the scene, and the accident remains under investigation, the release stated.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Celina Fire Department personnel, Celina and Coldwater squad members and Mercer County Coroner Timothy Heinrichs.
