Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Artist gives workshop

Artist Sherry Chandler holds a clay object she made while showing several area students how to make their own on Saturday morning during a clay workshop at Celina High School. Chandler is a Celina native who moved to Asheville, North Carolina, where she learned to work with clay. Since returning to Celina, she has opened her own backyard studio and continues to create with clay.
