Mary Ann Luebke
Mary Ann Luebke, age 89 of Celina, Ohio passed away at 5:52 a.m. on Monday Nov. 6, 2017, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born on Oct. 25, 1928 in St. Anthony to the late August and Catherine (Braun) Homan. On April 13, 1948, she married Alvin H. Luebke, who died on Oct. 10, 2005.
Survivors include her children, Cathy (John) Huwer of Dover DE, Cheryl Luebke of Celina, Paulette Rhyne of Denver CO, Ron (Melissa) Luebke of Celina and Deb Bruns of Celina, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, brother James Homan of Coldwater, sister Verena Goettemoeller of Rockford and brother-in-law Eugene Reinhart of Bryant IN, sisters-in-law Joy Homan of St. Marys and Jean Homan of Lake St. James IN.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by a grandson Aaron Huwer, brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Mary Lou Homan, Lavern Homan, Harold and Luella Homan, Robert Homan, Thelma Homan, Ivo and Betty Homan, sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther and Leonard Link, Alvera and Harry Massonne, Luella Reinhart, Alvin "Peck" Goettemoeller and Laura Ann Homan.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and of the Altar Rosary Society. Mary Ann was active with her Church, volunteering on the prayer chain, cooking and baking for many of the events at the Immaculate Conception Parish.
She was formerly employed at Buckeye Apparel in Coldwater, JC Penny in Celina and owned and operated Luebke Real Estate with her husband in Celina.
She was an avid reader and will always be remembered by her family as a master of crafts. Her talents included sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting. She was also quite the gardener, and loved to cook and bake. She was a "True Homemaker".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday Nov. 10, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 9 and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday Nov. 10 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorial contributions may be made to the I.C. Endowment Fund.
