Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Donor steps up to fund splash pad at Bryson Park District

CELINA - Plans continue to shape up for the new Bryson Park District along Lake Shore Drive as another donor has come forward, this time pledging to cover the cost of a splash pad.
Kathy Sharkey, owner of Ergo Desktop in Celina, has deposited $200,000 into an account held by the Mercer County Civic Foundation to pay for the splash pad, an amenity that has grown in popularity in both Mercer and Auglaize counties, mayor Jeff Hazel said. [More]
