The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

James Laux
James P. Laux, age 73, of Coldwater, died on Monday, February 12, 2018 at St. Rita's in Lima.
He was born June 7, 1944 in Mercer County to the late Herbert & Bernadette (Borger) Laux. He married Anita Tester on January 10, 1970 and she survives in Coldwater.
He is survived by his daughters: Jennifer Beach of Greenville and Rebecca & Brian Evers of Chickasaw; son-in-law Joe West-gerdes & Tracy Evers-Westgerdes of Ft. Recovery; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings: Mary Adele & Tom Kunk of St. Henry, John Laux of St. Henry, Bob & Roberta Laux of Cold Spring, KY and in-laws: Lee & Joyce Tester of Wabash, IN, George & Bev Tester of Celina, Sue & Jerold Eichenauer of Celina, Robin & Ken Bornhorst of Troy and Chuck & Karen Tester of Celina.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter Tracy West-gerdes; siblings, Margaret Laux, and Kathryn & Richard Clune.
Jim was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Coldwater Knights of Columbus, Coldwater Eagles, Coldwater V.F.W. and Celina Moose. He was retired from Tom's Installation in Celina. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandkids.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
