Alice Grevenkamp
Alice Marie (Post) Grevenkamp, age 91 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Sunday April 1, 2018 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was the daughter of William and Nettie (Buetle) Post, born on Dec. 3, 1926 in Celina, Ohio. On June 23, 1951 she married Urban A. Grevenkamp, who died on March 27, 2013.
Survivors include her children Roger Grevenkamp of Celina, Marlene (Ron) Snider of Celina, Kathy (John) Kimbro of Sidney, Karen Uhlenhake of Celina, Three grandchildren Jeremy (Dee) Uhlenhake of Celina, Jay (Jenn) Snider of New Bremen, Kayley (Andy) Dela Garza of Ossian, IN, Six great grandchildren Olivia, Bryce, Blake, Hayden, Kora, Kane, and her brothers and sister-in-law Ann Post of Celina, Harold (Mary Margaret) Post of Celina, Don (Mary Ann) Post of Coldwater, Dick (Rosie) Post of Celina.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Donald Uhlenhake, brothers and sisters-in-law Urban (Opal) Post, Robert (Lucille) Post, William Jr. (Anna) Post, Ralph (Yvonne) Post and Tom Post. She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Linus (Marian) Grevenkamp, Herbert (Opal) Grevenkamp, Gregory (Monica) Grevenkamp, and her sisters-in-law Adella (Urban) Hess and Alma (Ed) Stelzer.
Alice was a homemaker and a sweet Loving Mother. She loved playing and winning at bingo. She made canvas and yarn art for family, friends and even strangers. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, the Altar Rosary Society and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends at the Miller Place, where she has lived since 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
