CELINA - Celina track and field coach Eric Wagner gazed into the night sky after he dismissed his team from their post-meet huddle in the infield of Varsity Track.
"We're finishing up this track meet and it's literally snowing," Wagner said. "And our kids are in great spirits."
The snow didn't slow the Bulldogs at the Celina Relays.
Celina swept its home meet - the girls totaled 104 points on their way to victory and the boys tallied 85.
"I haven't looked at the times yet and I know they're going to be down for the conditions we competed in," Wagner said. "But we competed hard. The girls definitely competed better today than they did last week. We were missing a few people in some areas on the guys. A couple people had some bad meets, but we can build from it. It builds character. If you have a bad meet, you can come back stronger the next time.
"Overall, we competed hard and we didn't back down to the conditions."
The Coldwater girls weren't far behind Celina, taking second with 91 points. Fort Recovery (54). South Adams (48) and Parkway (41) completed the top five.
