Scattered snow showers can be expected this morning along with westerly winds gusting to around 40 mph at times. Temperatures will continue to fall this morning, with readings dropping well below freezing.
Snow accumulations will be a half inch or less. This will result in some slick spots on untreated surfaces as well as bridges and overpasses. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination this morning. Be prepared for changing road conditions as well as gusty winds.

An arctic cold front will move quickly east across the region through daybreak. This will usher in a much colder airmass with temperatures quickly falling below freezing.
Snow showers can be expected this morning with snow accumulations of a half inch or less possible. This will combine with the falling temperatures to produce slick spots on untreated roadways. In addition, brisk west winds will gust to 25 to 35 mph at times this morning.
The morning commute will be affected by these conditions. Please allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick spots, especially on bridges an overpasses.

Health challenge wraps up

Members of the The Fat and the Furious stand before a projected image as they claim second place in the team competition at the finale of the Grand Health Challenge on Tuesday night in the St. Marys Memorial High School auditorium. In the 13th year of the weight-loss and fitness challenge, 560 participants have lost a total of 3,941 pounds since the beginning of the year. Team members lost an average of nearly 20 percent of their weight during the challenge. The event is sponsored by Grand Lake Health System.
