Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Martha Settlage
Martha Settlage, 92, of New Knoxville, Ohio, died 2:30 P.M. Friday, May 25, 2018, at Elmwood of New Bremen.
She was born May 3, 1926, in Auglaize County, Ohio, the daughter of George and Sarah (Fledderjohann) Maneke. She married Adrian Settlage on March 6, 1948, and he preceded her in death on December 12, 2011.
She is survived by her children: Patricia (Richard) Isbell of Magnolia, Texas; Linda (Mike) Forrest of Westerville, Ohio; Janice (Chris) Speckman of New Knoxville; John Settlage of New Knoxville; Lois (James) Harrod of New Knoxville; Christine (Harry) Gabel of New Knoxville; Matthew (Christine) Settlage of Saint Marys. She is survived by fourteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings: Frances Rain; Louisa Schrolucke; Ray Maneke; Maria Maneke; by one great-granddaughter.
Martha was a 1944 graduate of New Knoxville High School. She had been employed at the former Buchanan's Department Store in Saint Marys, and she also baked the pies that were served at Adolph's Restaurant in New Knoxville. She was a talented quilter and she enjoyed birds, especially cardinals. She liked to put jigsaw puzzles together and she loved the Cincinnati Reds and the OSU Buckeyes.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the First Church of New Knoxville, the Reverend Joel Bucklin, officiant. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Ministry Center of the First Church of New Knoxville, where memorial gifts may be given to either the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church, or the New Knoxville Historical Society.
