Joann Pohl
Joann M. Pohl, age 81, of Coldwater, Ohio, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the St. Rita's Hospital, Lima.
She was born June 25, 1936 in North Star, Ohio, to the late Cletus Laux & Catherine (Muller) Coder. On June 24, 1961, she married Ralph Pohl at St. Louis Church, North Star, Ohio and he died on May 5, 2013.
She is also survived by three children, Ronald & Marlene Pohl of Coldwater, Linda Pohl of Coldwater and Lisa & Ralph Leugers of Ft. Recovery, eight grandchildren, Kathy & Tim Reichart, Matt & Amber Pohl, Dan & Leah Pohl, Jake & Haley Pohl, Stephen Pohl, Ethan, Dylan, and Emma Leugers, ten great-grandchildren, Lydia, Mason, Oliver, Brayden, Kaylee, Adalyn, Emery, Jack, Mia, and Duke, and a sister-in-law Rita & Willard Huwer of St. Henry.
She is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Linus & Virginia Pohl.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea, St. Marys Ladies Sodality and St. Cecilia Auxiliary. Joann was a homemaker and enjoyed helping her husband on their family farm while raising their three children. She was a 1954 graduate of Ansonia High School.
She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed word search puzzles, watching game shows, cooking, gardening and canning. She was deeply loved by her family and will be missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater.
