Rita E. (Osterloh) Eilerman, age 91, of Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio, passed away of natural causes at her residence Wednesday morning, June 20, 2018. She had previously been a resident of Fort Loramie and McCartyville.

She was born April 24, 1927, in Egypt, Ohio, to the late Aloysius and Blanche (Meier) Osterloh. On June 21, 1949, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Egypt, Rita married Norbert F. Eilerman who preceded her in death on July 31, 1994.

Surviving are four children: William Eilerman of New Bremen, Dale & Rosemary Eilerman of Clayton, Joan & Philip Buehler of Kettlersville and Marvin & Karen Eilerman of Minster; grandchildren: Brian (dec.), Eric & Sarah and Scott & Crystal Eilerman, Matt, Marcy, Katie, and Josh & Stephanie Buehler, Sarah & Kyle King, Jamie & Matt Tipton, Jenna Puthoff and Jay Eilerman along with great-grandchildren: Samuel Eilerman, Elyse Biersack, Landon, Karinne, Alanna and Marissa Buehler and Liam Tipton; six siblings: Jerome Osterloh of New Bremen, Linus & Yolanda Osterloh of Columbus, Ivo & Barbara Osterloh of Minster, Alberta & Jack Rethman of North Star, Irvin & Norma Osterloh of Arkdale, WI and Janice & Thomas Weitzel of Columbus; sisters & brothers-in-law: Jovita Osterloh of St. Henry, Edna Fullenkamp of Botkins, Leona Speck of West Milton, Ralph Eilerman of Fort Loramie, Sr. Marge Eilerman of Booneville, KY and Donald Schwartz of Botkins along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three siblings, Alma Puthoff, Laura and Othmar Osterloh as well as brothers & sisters-in-law: Edwin Puthoff, Wilma & Victor Drees, Urban Fullenkamp, Cletus & Dolores Eilerman, Rita & Richard Brunswick, Dolores & Harold Goettemoeller, John Speck and Mary Schwartz.

Mrs. Eilerman was a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie. She was previously a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in McCartyville where she had been active in the Ladies Sodality, Schoenstatt and Sacred Heart Mission Commission. Years ago, Rita and her husband Norb were members of the Ohio Farm Bureau and the National Farmers Organization.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Monday, June 25, 2018, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in McCartyville with Fr. Craig Eilerman and Fr. Stephen Mondiek presiding. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday 2:00 to 7:00 PM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie and Monday 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the church gathering room.
