Joseph Wuebker
Joseph F. Wuebker age 94 formerly of Minster, died at 1:25 AM on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen, Ohio.
He was born on September 17, 1923 in Minster, Ohio to the late Henry & Dorothy (Winner) Wuebker. He married Dorothy H. Broerman on October 4, 1947 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, Ohio. She preceded him in death on April 15, 2015.
He is survived by children: Donald & Joyce Wuebker, Frederick CO, Eileen & Steve Hemmert, Wapakoneta, Myrle Wuebker & Constance, Sidney, Joyce & Dale Barhorst, Minster, 14 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren, a sister, Martha Fullenkamp, Centerville, and a sister-in-law, Rita Wuebker, Minster.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Richard & Alvira Wuebker, Stanley Wuebker, Leonard & Viola Wuebker, sisters: Marcella & Jerome Pleiman, LaDonna & Thomas Quinlin, and a brother in law Lester Fullenkamp.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and a past Grand Knight of the Minster Knights of Columbus, Council 2158. Joe was a 1942 graduate of Minster High School, and a member of the Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles 1391. He was a member of the Auglaize County Farm Bureau, Minster TruPointe, Minster Athletic Boosters, and a 25 year member and past chairman for the Jackson Township Zoning Appeals Board. Joe was a long-time volunteer at the Center for Neurological Development in Burkettsville, and enjoyed polka dancing, golfing, fishing, spending time with family and attending their various activities.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am Saturday, July 7, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 6, and from 8:30 to 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 7 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Minster Knights of Columbus, or the Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville.
