* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Aloys Larger
Aloys H. "Al the barber" Larger, age 96, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital.
Al grew up and worked on the farm in Fort Loramie, OH until he was 21 and then worked at Frigidaire for 4 years. He went to Moeller Barber College of Cincinnati, worked at Brownies Barber Shop and then built & owned his own Barber Shop for 64 years. He has worked with Joi Rader for 47 years and barbered until his 94th birthday.
Al was a member of Corpus Christi Church, Emmanuel, and then Our Lady of the Rosary. He was an active member for 63 years in Council 3754 Marian Manor, Knights of Columbus.
Al loved the farm and won numerous blue ribbons at the Montgomery County Fair for growing beach ball size cabbages. He was an avid baseball fan especially the Cincinnati Reds, enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes, euchre, dancing with Marcella and traveling to visit family & friends.
He liked everyone he met and was the most generous man. He always visited friends & family in nursing homes and hospitals and would cut their hair to make them feel better.
Al was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marcella (Moeder); parents, Edward & Mary Larger; daughter, Lynn Wasserman; siblings, Elmer, Herbert, Joseph, Norbert & Hilda; and Marcella's siblings, Rita Jones, Sister Julian, CPPS, Norbert, Mary, Victor and Charles Moeder.
He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Patty & Don Hoendorf, Connie & Dean Steinke; sons & daughter-in-law, William Larger, John & Nancy Larger, Walt Larger; son-in-law, Brian Wasserman; brother, Alfred (Margie) Larger; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; Marcella's siblings, Ruth Krebs, Rose Ann Siefring, Richard, Jerry & Leander Moeder; and many other relatives, friends and 5 generations of customers.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Our Lady of the Rosary, 22 Notre Dame Ave. with Father Ethan Moore celebrant. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4-8 PM at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike and on Tuesday at church from 9:30 AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary in Al's memory.
