A quick burst of snow will move through the area this evening, resulting in light snow accumulations which may cover roadways. As temperatures drop into the teens, slick conditions are expected to remain through the overnight. Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling this evening and overnight, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for winter driving conditions.
MENDON - The village has received a $500,000 Ohio Public Works Commission grant to help fund a new water tower, council members learned at their Tuesday meeting.
This adds to the $434,000 in grant funds already received from the OPWC and Community Development Block Grants for the project, which also will include some new water lines and wells in the village.
