Helen Fetters
Helen M. Fetters, age 93, formerly of Celina, Ohio, passed away on October 8, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends at The Manor of Blue Water Bay in Niceville, Florida.
She was born November 3, 1923 in Somerset, Ohio to the late Russell and Mary Louise (Helser) Snider. She married John Fetters, and he preceded her in death in August 14, 1989.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Hicks, Choctaw Beach, Florida, Sue Severns, Columbus, Ohio, and Diane (Walt) Abele, Beverly Hills, Florida; two brothers, Russell W. Snider, Celina, and Dean (Kay) Snider, Galveston Bay, Texas; three sisters, Phyllis Dupler, Glenford, Ohio, Doris (Bill) Marbaugh, Celina, and Joyce (John) Nichols, Tucson, Arizona; a special friend and caregiver, Mary Locke, Choctaw Beach, Florida; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Snider; and two sisters Lois Carol Snider, and Anne Dowdy.
Helen graduated from Somerset High School. She worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in St. Marys, and retired from Mersman Furniture Company in Celina after many years of service. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Celina, and enjoyed staying active and volunteering for many things.
Memorial services will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Jeff Gramza, Rev. Douglas Meyer, and Vicar Dan Gutman officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
