William Terlinde
On Friday, August 24th, 2018, William "Wild Bill" Terlinde left St. Rita's Medical Center to begin his fishing trip with the Lord at 10:26 am.
Wild Bill was a longtime resident of Hecht's Landing and an avid fisherman of Grand Lake St. Marys since his childhood. He was a character to all who knew him, and you could never tell what joke he was going to crack next. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and anyone in his life never went without.
He is preceded in the death by his parents Charles & Leona Terlinde and sister Nancy.
He leaves behind his wife of 22 years Tina (Cansler), formerly of Dayton and she resides in Celina. Three children, Tammy (Larry) Gutwein of Celina, Anthony (Heather) Terlinde of Fairborn and Haley Terlinde of Celina; two siblings, Mike Terlinde and Kathy Terlinde; four grandsons; and most dear to his heart his four puppies, Diddle, Wheezie, Winkie and Squiggie.
His version of heaven was anywhere on Grand Lake St. Marys with a pole in his hand or living it up with the stereo thumping on Hecht's Landing. Wild Bill will truly be missed, but the loved ones he left behind will continue to be wild just for him.
Services are pending and the family will release details once arranged.
