* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following county, in west central Ohio, Mercer.
* WHEN...Until 945 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 639 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Rockford, Mendon, Tama, Neptune and Chattanooga.

David Axe
Dave A. Axe, 67, of Saint Marys, died 5:40 P.M. Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at James Cancer Hospital, Columbus.
He was born December 1, 1950, in Celina, Ohio, the son of Paul and Lois (Burden) Axe. He married Charlotte Ziegler on July 2, 1977, in Lima, Ohio, and she survives at the residence.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; by his mother, Lois Axe of Saint Marys; by a daughter, Natalie (Joe) Turpin of Pataskala, Ohio; by two grandchildren: Noah and Madeline Turpin. He is also survived by his siblings: Linda (Steve) Opperman of Saint Marys; Dwayne (Jackie) Axe of Saint Marys; Dwight (Carmen) Axe of Wapakoneta; by his brothers-in-law, John (Ruth) Johnson of Broomall, Pennsylvania; Nick Johnson of Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his father, and by a daughter, Jennifer Axe.
Dave was a 1969 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He retired from the US Postal Service, where he had served as Postmaster of the St. Henry Post Office.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge 767; Mercer Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons; he coordinated Special Olympics of Auglaize County for many years, where he also coached track and field events. He was a longtime member of the Auglaize County Board of MRDD and a member of the Auglaize County Crippled Children and Adults Board. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, Saint Marys, the Reverend Bill Maki, officiant.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to Auglaize County Special Olympics.
