* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 642 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area, with several roads closed near and west of Celina. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Carthagena, Neptune, Chattanooga and Maria Stein.

Lining up for soil judging

Students from Coldwater, Fort Recovery, Marion Local, Parkway and St. Henry schools participate in the Mercer County soil judging contest Friday morning at the Roger Albers farm on Depweg Road in Celina. Students judged three soil pits for urban or rural use and took a written test. The event was sponsored by the Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation District.
