Dorothy Imwalle
Dorothy B. Imwalle, age 93, passed away Monday September 24, 2018, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born March 19, 1925 to the late Lawrence & Anna (Henke) Mescher. On June 28, 1947 she married Walter Imwalle and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2004.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Beck & Carl Everman of Cranberry Prairie, Lynn & Dave Will of St. Sebastian, Jay & Diane Imwalle of Celina, a daughter in-law Dianne & Larry Post of St. Henry, 12 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one on the way, and one step great grandchild and one on the way. Dorothy is also survived by sisters, Mary Ann Quinter of Ft. Loramie, and Delores Schwieterman of Coldwater, as well as in-laws: Velma Mescher of Coldwater, Mathilda Stammen of St. Henry, Doris Imwalle of Maria Stein, Ed & Janet Imwalle of Troy, Phyllis Imwalle of Dayton, and Mart & Dick Sherick, St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by a son Jack Imwalle, an infant daughter Peggy Imwalle, and siblings: Ruth & Larry Bender, Irene & Ed Garmann, Bud Mescher, and in-laws: Roger Schwieterman, Harold Quinter, Anthony Quinter, Cy Stammen, Eugene Imwalle, Fred Imwalle, Louis Imwalle, Alfred Imwalle, Rich Imwalle, Herb Imwalle, and Armella Baumer.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and the Ladies Sodality. Dorothy was a homemaker and retired secretary for Brookside Hauling of Maria Stein. She was an avid Marion Local Flyers fan, enjoyed playing cards, and thoroughly loved her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 27, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
