Miriam 'Pat' Neely
Miriam "Pat" Neely, 95, of Saint Marys, died 9:45 P.M. Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community.
She was born August 11, 1923, the daughter of Shirley and Ruth Pierson. She married Richard Neely on April 29, 1943; he preceded her in death on August 25, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Maureen Neely of Dublin, Ohio; by four grandsons, Michael (Cortney) Neely of Van Wert; Mark (Becky) Neely of Wamego, Kansas; Eric (Lauren) Neely of Whispering Pines, North Carolina; Brad Neely of Dublin. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Steven Neely; by 2 sisters, 1 brother, and by one great-grandson.
Pat had worked at the Island Dress Shoppe in Saint Marys, and assisted her husband in the operation of Neely's Drug Store in Saint Marys for many years. She was a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed golfing, traveling to Florida and playing cards.
Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at the Meyer Community Chapel on the campus of Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community, the Reverend Tim Benjamin, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral rites at Otterbein Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Otterbein Saint Marys Benevolent Fund.
Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, is entrusted with Pat's final arrangements. Condolences may be sent to her family via Millerfuneralhomes.net.
