Mary Eileen Meyer
Mary Eileen Meyer age 89, of Minster, Ohio, died on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Heritage Center, Minster.
She was born on June 20, 1929 in Egypt, Ohio to the late Herman Sr. & Gertrude (Knuefner) Albers. On June 18, 1949, Eileen married Urban A. Meyer who survives in Minster.
She is also survived by 10 children: John Meyer, St. Marys, Ken & Ann (Boecker) Meyer, Minster, Roger & Phyllis (Schnieder) Meyer, Arlington, TX, Patty Meyer, Trion, GA, Donna (Meyer) Bolden, Villa Rica, GA, Jim Meyer, New Bremen, Sharon (Meyer) Phlipot, Minster, Frank & Irene (Keller) Meyer, S. Henry, Chuck & Cindy (Lefeld) Meyer, Coldwater, Greg & Jenny (Wilker) Meyer, Oakwood, 24 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, sisters and in-laws: Dorothy & Jim Meyer, Sidney, Norma Gill & Bob Wells, Wapakoneta, Rosie & Dave Cooper, New Bremen, Diane & Bob Wyen, McCartyville, Betty & Gerald Kempfer, Botkins, Peg & Tim Simon, Houston, sister-in-law Fritz Albers, Maria Stein, in-laws: Roman Meyer, Coldwater, Rita Wuebker, Minster, Dolores Vollmer, New Bremen, Jeanne Kemper, New Bremen.
She was preceded in death by son David Meyer, grandson Duane Bolden, siblings, Rita & Henry Seger, Donald Albers, Herman Jr. "Hap" & Cecelia Albers, Martha & Elmer Wolters, Gene Gill, Robert "Bobby" Albers and infant Delores Albers, in-laws: Robert Meyer, Vera & Lawrence Schmiesing, Esther & Ralph Frey, Larry Kemper, Mary Ann Meyer, Bob Vollmer, Ralph & Marie Huelsman and Stan Wuebker.
Eileen was a dedicated homemaker on the farm and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Everyone loved her sugar cookies and sweets. She followed her grandchildren's sporting events and was a great caregiver. She was a member of St. Augustine Church, Minster and a member of Minster Eagles Auxiliary.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. Augustine Church with Rev. Frankline Rayappa celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday January 31, and Friday from 9 AM to 9:45 AM.
Memorial donations may be made to Minster Area Life Squad and Heritage Manor Activity Fund.
