Fort solicitor resigns, new official hired

FORT RECOVERY - Council members on Monday accepted the resignation of village solicitor Erin Minor and hired her replacement.
Minor, who has served as the village attorney for three years, has accepted a full-time position with county prosecutor Matthew Fox's office.
Mayor Dave Kaup and council members thanked Minor for her work and said they wish her all the best in her new position.
Members then moved to hire Erin Abels as her replacement, effective March 18.
A Maria Stein native, Abels earned an undergraduate degree from Wright State University, a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati and a law degree from the University of Dayton. Abels lives in Coldwater and works for attorney Judy Koesters.
