Minster principal placed on leave

Superintendent silent on action

By Sydney Albert
MINSTER - Junior/Senior high school principal Jason Spencer was placed on paid administrative leave on Friday and will remain on leave until his board-approved resignation date of July 31, according to superintendent Brenda Boeke.
A replacement or interim principal has not been appointed, and the high school office staff will pick up Spencer's workload, Boeke said. Asked why Spencer was being placed on paid administrative leave, Boeke offered no comment but said district staff were looking forward to focusing on the future.
Board members in March accepted Spencer's resignation, thanking him for his two years of service in the district. Boeke had told the newspaper Spencer had taken a position in Cincinnati.
Asked for more information on his resignation, Spencer had written in an email to the newspaper that he had no comment.
Spencer was hired in the summer of 2017, replacing retiring principal Mike Lee.
