The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Flood Warning for... Shelby County in west central Ohio... Logan County in west central Ohio... Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Southeastern Hardin County in west central Ohio... Northern Union County in central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio... * Until 145 PM EDT Friday. * At 152 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported that several roadways remained closed due to high water. Additional rainfall in thunderstorms is expected later today. Runoff from any storms that occur may worsen any ongoing flooding or create new flooding concerns. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sidney, Bellefontaine, Celina, Wapakoneta, St. Marys, Coldwater, Fort Shawnee, New Bremen, Minster, St. Henry, Richwood, Newport, Cridersville, Anna, Fort Loramie, Jackson Center, Fort Recovery, Russells Point, De Graff and Botkins.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for * Portions of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, including the following areas, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette IN, Franklin IN, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union IN, and Wayne. In Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton, and Robertson. In Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette OH, Franklin OH, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union OH, and Warren. * Until 8 PM EDT this evening * Additional scattered storm development is expected again today, with total additional rainfall up to 1.5 inches possible. However, high rainfall rates of around an inch per hour may lead to quick flooding and/or flash flooding issues. * With very wet soil conditions across much of the region, any heavy rain will quickly convert to runoff, either aggravating ongoing flooding or helping to re-initiate high water issues. Many low lying areas will be quick to flood should heavy rain occur.

Jim Rengers
Jim A. Rengers, age 66, of Coldwater, died on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Lima Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.
He was born February 1, 1953, in Coldwater to the late Joseph & Elvaneta (Frenzer) Rengers. On May 3, 1975, he married Rita (Link) Rengers, and she survives in Coldwater.
Jim is also survived by children, Lindsay & Craig Alig of Ft. Recovery, Ted & Halle Rengers of Hudson, Nick & Ashley Rengers of Hilliard, Michael & Brooke Rengers of Westerville, and Megan Rengers & Gavin Bettinger of Coldwater. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, as well as siblings and in-laws, Phil & Joan Rengers of Chickasaw, Tom & Sue Rengers of New Bremen, Marilyn & Stan Heitkamp of Van Buren, Rocket & Paula Rengers of St. Henry, Bud & Kathy Link of Celina, and Steve Link of Montezuma.
He is preceded in death by sister-in-law, Deb Link.
Jim was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, where he served many years as a CCD teacher. He was retired from Crown and the former Huffy plant.
He was a longtime volunteer firefighter in Coldwater and Chickasaw. Jim was an avid coin collector. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes and cheering on the Coldwater Cavaliers, Buckeyes, Reds, and Bengals.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Chickasaw. Friends may call on Sunday, June 9, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coldwater EMS or Coldwater Fire Department.
