FORT RECOVERY - Residents gathered under sunny skies Sunday afternoon to get their first look at the Cooper Brothers Community Pavilion.
"We were envious of other communities that had a facility like this," mayor Dave Kaup told the more than 50 people at the dedication. "What we've done here is raise the bar to a new level."
Former mayor Roger Broerman said he saw the need for the pavilion in Community Park and had discussed the project for many years. [More]

CELINA - Celina native and former Miss Ohio Ellen Bryan hopes her new book, which combines her personal stories with life lessons, will help readers see everyone "is a beautiful work in progress."
At a young age, Bryan dreamt of becoming a star TV host and pretended to host her own shows.

Swimmers from around the area converged on Bryson Pool in Celina on Saturday to compete in the annual Celina Pentathlon.
CELINA - The weekend proved to be a good one for the bats of both Grand Lake and Xenia in Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League play.
On Saturday, Xenia led 10-2 after 3 1/2 innings, only to have the Mariners rally back in the fourth and fifth innings to take the lead and hold on for a 13-10 win.
