ST. MARYS - As the 2019 football campaign is on the horizon, Doug Frye and the St. Marys Roughriders look to continue riding the momentum wave they began upon his return to the Roughrider sidelines six years ago - a wave which last season carried them into the Division IV state semifinals.
CELINA - Although Celina finished 11-13 in the 2018 volleyball season, it wasn't due to a lack of effort. Eight of the Bulldogs' losses came to Midwest Athletic Conference schools.
COLDWATER - Last season was successful for the Coldwater volleyball team in going 18-7, but it was the most losses by a Cav team since going 20-8 in 2012. The Cavaliers also had their streak of regional appearances snapped at two straight in falling in the district semifinal against Liberty-Benton.
FORT RECOVERY - Fort Recovery has ranked among the MAC's top teams over the last three years.
But Fort Recovery wants to be THE top team this year - in the conference and state.
MARIA STEIN - Anthony Chappel has planted roots in the Marion Local School District.
And he's ready to pilot an already established Flyer volleyball tradition.
MINSTER - With a little more experience coming back, Minster volleyball coach Cami Garman is looking to improve on last year's 13-11 overall record, which included a 2-7 mark in MAC play.
NEW BREMEN - A solid nucleus returns for a New Bremen volleyball team that has advanced to the Division IV State Finals in each of the last two seasons. The Cardinals brought home the title in 2017 and finished runner-up to Tiffin Calvert last year.
ROCKFORD - Last season, Parkway's volleyball team was young with just one senior on the roster.
The squad played close to .500 at 11-12 overall and was 2-7 in the MAC, with one MAC victory coming against eventual Division III state champion Versailles.
ST. HENRY - St. Henry enters yet another volleyball season with a desire to be in the MAC- and state-championship conversation.
