Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

Halver Belcher
Rev. Deacon Halver L. Belcher age 76 formerly of Minster passed away at 5 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his home in Celina.
He was born February 18, 1943 to the late Elster and June (Hess) Belcher. His mother survives in Mouthcard, KY. He married Sharon Neumeyer on September 5, 1964 in Fremont, Ohio and she survives in Celina.
He is also survived by children: Lisa & Rob Albers, Minster, Eric & Janet Belcher, Minster, grandchildren: Matthew Albers, Kayla Albers & fiancé Jordan Luthman, Benjamin & Kayla Belcher, Dustin Belcher, Lexi & Eric Roediger, Andrew, Jenna, Reese & Charlotte Belcher, great granddaughter Kynlee Belcher, brother Gregory Lee & Martha Belcher, Mouthcard, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father, son Lyndel & Janet (Purpus) Belcher & grandson Nicholas.
Hal was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where he served as a deacon since his ordination in 2001. He was also a Lay Pastor Ministry Director for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. He was a member of the Minster Civic Association, Minster Service Club and the Minster K of C.
Hal received his Ph.D. in education from the University of Toledo. He was a former superintendent at Minster Schools and principal at Holy Angels School in Sidney.
His favorite verse was "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Hal also lived by the belief "Put God first, Family second, others third and ourselves last."
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM on Saturday, August 31, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Frankline Rayappa celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. Friday, August 30 and from 8:30-9:00 a.m. Saturday.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to "Blessed From Above" organ fund at St. Augustine Church.
