Belna Crushing of Rockford and Tom's Construction of St. Henry tear down the 80-year-old Motor Inn restaurant at the intersection of U.S. 127 and U.S. 33 to make room for a new truck stop. The new complex will include a restaurant that will resemble the old one, a convenience store and a space for drivers to relax and take a shower, restaurant operations manager Jeremy Iiams said. Fuel and diesel fill-up areas also are being built nearby, and a truckwash is planned, Iiams added.
