* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Mercer County in west central Ohio... * WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 642 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area, with several roads closed near and west of Celina. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Carthagena, Neptune, Chattanooga and Maria Stein.
CELINA - Grand Lake had its lowest microcystin levels in seven years this summer, but Lake Improvement Association president Nick Rentz cautioned that a seasonal spike is still expected this fall.
"Our microcystin levels will spike this month. It happens all the time, it doesn't happen just here, it happens at Lake Erie as well," Rentz said during Saturday's LIA meeting. [More]
