The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Alice Penn
Alice Penn, 76, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away September 6, 2019, at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Dublin, Ohio. Alice was born on December 14, 1942, in Rockford, Ohio, the daughter of Edwin Frederick and Rebecca Cedell (Tussing) Penn, both of whom preceded her in death.
Alice also had two brothers that preceded her in death, Harold (2018) and Roger (2017).
Alice graduated from Rockford High School in 1961 and lived in her childhood home in Rockford, Ohio until December 2017.
Alice is survived by two nephews and their families, John (Janeth) Penn and two children of Jacksonville, Florida; and Nelson (Maria) Penn and three children of Powell, Ohio.
A visitation service is being planned on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 3 o'clock to 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, Ohio with a burial service immediately following at Riverside Cemetery.
