Sondra Smith
Sondra S. Smith, 81, of Celina, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Celina Manor, where she had resided the past 6 years.
She was born on February 4, 1938, in Celina. Sondra married John L. Smith, and after 46 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on September 27, 2003.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melanie (Mike) Kerns of Findlay, son, David A. Smith of Celina, daughter-in-law, Robin Smith of Celina, four grandchildren: Eric (Shae) Kerns of West Chester,
Rachel Kerns of Marion, and Jacob Smith and Riley (Cassie) Smith of Celina, two great-grandchildren: Braxton and Zane, siblings: Carroll (Bill) Pence, John (Barb) Mihm, Donna Jean (Denny) Anderson, James
(Earlene Schaaf) Mihm, Michele Springer and Deloris (Gregg) Bailey, and a sister-in-law, Donna Mihm.
Sondra was preceded in death by her parents: Harold Mihm and Marie Hainline, son, James L. Smith, and siblings: Bobby Mihm, Glenda Ginter, Ronald Mihm, Dennis Mihm, Arlinda Mihm and Michael Mihm.
She had attended Celina High School. Sondra was employed by Mersman Brothers and Gas Town in Celina. She was a member of Celina VFW Post #5713 Auxiliary. Sondra enjoyed reading.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina. Rev. Richard Van Horn will officiate. Burial will be at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling Hours are at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 2:00.
