Overnight periods of light snow accumulation, as well as patchy freezing drizzle, combined with temperatures falling into the teens and 20s, have created the potential for slick and icy conditions, primarily on untreated roadways, sidewalks and driveways. Motorists are advised to use caution, allow extra travel time and maintain increased stopping distance if traveling.

Raymond Miller
Raymond J. Miller, age 95, of Celina, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born December 12, 1923, in Trinity, Indiana, a son of Aloys & Catherine (Willhoff) Miller. Ray and Phyllis Stammen were married on June 21, 1952.
She survives, along with their five children: Lois (Richard) Bollenbacher of Rockford, Don (Debra) Miller of Celina, Kathy (Bill) Esser of Coldwater, Marleen (Dan) Evers of Burkettsville and Margie (Jerry) Albers of Celina. Also surviving are his eight grandchildren: Steve (Ryanne) Bollenbacher, Brenda (Josh) Castle, Jayme (Dave) Gaier, Kevin Esser, Janel (Kyle) Hamrick, Kelly (Jon) Pottkotter, Elizabeth Evers, Sarah Albers and eleven great-grandchildren.
Preceding Ray in death were all eight of his brothers & sisters, as well as their spouses: Florentine & Walter Loy, Asella & Herb Muhlenkamp, Adeline & Irvin Wagner, Sylvester & Geraldine Miller, Jerome & Ludwina Miller, Sister dePaul Miller, Sister Magdalen Miller and Mildred & Louis Schoen.
Ray had worked as a farmer, then was drafted into the U.S.Army during WWII. He was stationed in Hawaii, serving there as a Military Policeman. He owned Ray's Cabinet Shop and Ray's Sharpening Service, and had done commercial lawn mowing. Ray also worked in construction, at Mersman Tables, Martz Cabinets and the Power Plant in Celina.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church andAmerican Legion Post #210 in Celina. Ray was a handyman, and had remodeled his own home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 4, at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, with Fr. Tim McFarland, C.PP.S., presiding. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Celina.
Calling Hours are 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 3, and 9:15-10:15 a.m. on Friday, at W.H. Dick &Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund or State of the Heart Care.
