Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.

A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

DUBLIN TWP. - Two people were seriously injured in a collision between a sport utility vehicle and a commercial semitrailer at the intersection of state routes 118 and 707 on Tuesday.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Wapakoneta Post were dispatched to the accident at about 9:14 a.m., with units from the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, Rockford Fire Department, Mendon-Union Fire Department and Mercer County Emergency Medical Services also responding, according to a news release. Mercer County's unemployment rate dropped for the second straight month, and the county has maintained the state's lowest unemployment rate since May 2016.
The rate dropped from 2.8% in September to 2.6% in October, according to the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. [More]
