Celina firefighters tend to the scene of a fire inside a storage room at 800 Touvelle St. about 9:35 a.m. Friday. Lt. Jon Schumm said a resident smelled something burning, alerted the neighbors and everyone evacuated safely. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the storage room. The remaining property suffered only minor smoke damage. The cause was unknown at press time, but he estimated the fire caused $5,000 in damage as the storage room was a complete loss. Foul play is not suspected. The property owned by Obringer Properties is insured. Eight firefighters responded and were back from the scene by 11:39 a.m., Schumm noted.
