CELINA - A Montezuma man charged with failure to stop after his vehicle struck a pedestrian changed his plea to guilty on Wednesday as part of a plea deal.
Harold Bashore, 70, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree felony charge of failure to stop after an accident. In exchange, prosecutors agreed to drop a minor misdemeanor charge of a right of way violation. [More]

CELINA - The city's books have been closed on 2019 and the numbers once again show the government on sound financial ground with a revenue surplus.
City auditor Betty Strawn this week offered a year-end summary of the city's general fund, which pays for the day-to-day operations. One highlight is the unencumbered balance or carryover of $4.27 million compared with $4.06 million at the end of 2018. [More]
