• If COVID-19 or any respiratory illness symptoms require emergent attention - for example people have trouble breathing - go to the hospital's emergency department. For suspected COVID-19 cases only, call 419-678-5101 to alert emergency department staff of approaching arrival to ensure the best care and the proper safety protocols are in place for other patients, visitors and health care employees.
• At this time, all emergency patients should continue to report to the hospital's emergency department. As always, the department provides emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. By following these guidelines, the department will be available for the sickest patients and most emergent situations, such as patients with chest pain, broken bones, trouble breathing and traumas.
• Medical surge tents have been erected outside of the emergency department in preparation for a potential surge of patients due to COVID-19. The tents are not operational at this time but can be quickly activated if needed.
