Linus Braun
Linus J. Braun, age 94, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 1:35 pm at Grande Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys, Ohio.
He was born July 7, 1925 in Celina to the late August and Frances (Leugers) Braun.
He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Reed) Niekamp, Celina, Eileen (Mike) Moeller, Coldwater, Keith (Jeanne) Braun, Celina, Martha (Tom) Prenger, Celina and Alan (Cindy) Braun, Celina; two sisters, Alfreida Ramga, Celina and Dorothy (Lester) Hein, Coldwater; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 3 on the way.
Also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Braun; two sisters, Mary Ann (Robert) Hoenie and Berniece (Merle) Green; and a brother-in-law, Herb Ramga.
Linus proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War Era. He was a very passionate farmer, a job that he performed until the very end. He was member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
Due to restrictions of the COVID-19 virus we will be following the guidelines set by the Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's office, limiting attendance to the visitation and the funeral services to immediate family members and close friends.
Visitation hours will be from 3-6 pm, Sunday, May 10, 2020 in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, Ohio. Funeral liturgy and celebration life services will begin at 10:30 am on Monday, May 11, 2020 in Cisco Funeral Home with Fr. Tim McFarland C.PP.S. officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am-10:30 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund and/or Grand Lake Hospice.
