Kyle Esmonde, Mendon-Union High School Class of 1977, was Double Digit Derby champion his senior season and a standout on the baseball diamond. But it was cross country where he earned his highest honors. A two-time Mercer County champion, Esmonde competed as an individual at the Class A state meet twice.
