Albert Coffey
Albert L. Coffey, 78, of Saint Marys, Ohio, and formerly of Stearns, Kentucky, died 12:10 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2020, at his residence.
He was born July 28, 1941, in Eagen, Tennessee, the son of Earl and Mary (Spradlin) Coffey. He married Elizabeth Baker on June 4, 1960; she survives at the residence in Saint Marys.
He is also survived by his sons: James (Terri) Coffey of Celina, Ohio; Robbie (Sherry) Coffey of Saint Marys, Ohio; Jonathan (Ashley) Coffey of Stearns, Kentucky. He is survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Reba Kidd of Stearns; Charlotta "Lot" Kidd of Kentucky; Mary Coffey of Tennessee; Jerry (Brenda) Coffey of Oneida, Tennessee; Eddie Coffey of Eagen, Tennessee. He is survived by his sisters-in-law: Geraldine Coffey of Cincinnati; Fannie Coffey of Stearns; Paula Coffey of Hamilton, Ohio; Louise Baker of Saint Marys.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by a daughter, Rita Roberts; by his siblings: Barbara Coffey; Janice Coffey; Shirley Coffey; Kenneth Coffey; Pete Coffey; a sister-in-law, Joy Coffey.
Albert retired from New Idea Corporation in Coldwater, Ohio, after many years of service as a tow motor/crane operator. He had worked in the coal mines of Kentucky in his youth.
He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Stearns. He was a Little League baseball coach for many years in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Stearns, Kentucky. Burial will follow at the Spradlin family cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. til the time of services on Wednesday at the church.
Friends may also call from 2-5 P.M. Monday, July 6, 2020, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, where memorial gifts may be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
