Mercer per capita rate state's highest
CELINA - Although Mercer County's number of COVID-19 cases increased by 16 on Wednesday, the county's number of new cases per capita within the last two weeks has decreased significantly, according to a county health district news release.

St. Henry continued its hot start to the girls golf season with a 190-220 win over Celina in Wednesday afternoon action on the back nine of the Mercer County Elks.
CELINA - For the Celina girls cross country team, the hope is to build on last season's success.
For the boys, it's a time to rebuild.

COLDWATER - The Coldwater cross country teams are looking to do great things in the 2020 season.
Both squads have plenty of experience back from last season, including a returning state qualifier for each team.
FORT RECOVERY - The Fort Recovery girls cross country runners have seen their season end at the Division III regional for two straight years.
That will not suffice in 2020, coach Christy Diller said.
MARIA STEIN - The Marion Local boys cross country team reached the regional meet for the first time in a long time last fall.
New coach Elle Sutter has the Flyers thinking bigger in 2020.
MINSTER - Not much will change for Larry Topp as he heads into his 35th season as head coach of the Minster boys' cross country program.

David Koenig returns this fall for his eighth season at the helm of the boys golf team. This year's team has quality and quantity.
MINSTER - First-year head coach Jeremy Magoto is eager to start the season. His team is young but, has plenty of promising newcomers. The Wildcats advanced to state in 2019, but took a heavy toll from graduation.
NEW BREMEN - One is a veteran coach. The other enters year two.
Second-year boys coach John Roberts has many returnees, but 11-year girls coach Mike Holdren has just a few.
ROCKFORD - While Parkway boys golf coach Joe Falk will look to reload his squad this season, the Parkway girls program returns after not fielding a team last season.
ST. HENRY - The St. Henry girls have been to three straight state tournaments.
