COVID deaths, hospitalizations continue to rise

  CELINA - Local health department and hospital officials are pleading with the public to get serious about the COVID-19 pandemic as deaths and cases increase.
The effort comes as Mercer County Health District officials reported a staggering 183 new cases over Wednesday and Thursday, raising the county's total number of cases to 2,135. [More]

CHICKASAW - The U.S. Postal Service's decision to close the village's post office has been rescinded.
Residents were advised by letter on Oct. 23 that they would have to pick up their mail in Maria Stein effective Dec. 31. USPS officials planned to end a lease agreement with owners of MVP Sports and More, 49 Franklin St., where the post office is located. [More]
