Edna Grilliot
Edna A. Grilliot age 91, of Versailles passed away at 9:10 PM on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Edna was born May 13, 1929, in Ft. Recovery to the late William & Caroline (Selhorst) Huelskamp.
In addition to her parents, Edna was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. "Bob" Grilliot on October 10, 2008, whom she married July 7, 1951; brothers, Louis and Ralph Huelskamp; sisters, Mary Huelskamp, Ann Schmitmeyer-Dillhoff, Irene Siefring and Marcella Huelskamp; brothers-in-law, Earl Grilliot, Herbert Grilliot and Lawrence Huelskamp; and sisters-in-law, Jean Grilliot and Dorothy Siefring.
Edna is survived by her children, John & Louise Grilliot of Versailles, Rose Grilliot of Versailles, Louis & Teresa Grilliot of Versailles, Herman & Teresa Grilliot of Louisville, Kentucky and Margie & Rick Heitkamp of Versailles; grandchildren, Lisa & Scott Brooks, Joseph & Rachael Grilliot, Carrie & James Wilker, Susan & Marty Arlinghaus, Diana & Matt Poeppelman, Dan Grilliot, Sharon & Chris Barga, Lauren & Ryan Nixon, Chris Grilliot, Beth & Joel Fahey, Jason Grilliot, Jennifer Grilliot, Nicole & Kevin Paulus, Mindy & Brad Luthman, Jessica & Brandon Christian and Dean Heitkamp; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Bowers of Dayton; sisters-in-law, Mary Huelskamp of Greenville and Joan Grilliot of Versailles; brother-in-law, Clarence Siefring; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edna was a homemaker and helped her husband on the dairy farm. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Frenchtown and St. Anne's Sodality of the church. Edna enjoyed planting her huge garden, playing cards and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery in North Star.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care 1350 N. Broadway Greenville, OH 45331 or Versailles Emergency Medical Services, 117 N. Center St., Versailles, OH 45380.
