Virginia Kleinhenz
Virginia A. Kleinhenz, age 94, of St. Henry, died on Monday, March 22, 2021 at her home in St. Henry.
She was born March 4, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Anthony & Christine (Naseman) Boehmer. On November 11, 1950 she married her husband of almost 70 years, Harold B. Kleinhenz, and he died November 4, 2020.
Virginia is survived by children, Sharon & Charlie Lampert of New Bremen, Kate & Rick Kremer of Ansonia, and daughter-in-law Rene & Joe Lochtefeld of New Bremen, 12 grandchildren, Shannon & Shawn Heckman, Brent & Jacqueline Lampert, Karlee & Adam Klawon, Michelle & Dane Baldwin, Jay & Katya Kleinhenz, Kenzie Kleinhenz, Lee Lochtefeld, Romie & Cortnie Kremer, Neal Kremer, Justin Kremer, Adam & Ashlyn Kremer, and Kelsey Kremer & fiancé Josh Sizemore, 14 great grandchildren and one on the way, and in-laws, Lucy Schoch, Jeanette Borges, Jim & Martha Boehmer, Joann Katterheinrich, and Betty Kleinhenz.
In addition to her husband and parents, Virginia is preceded in death by a son Nick Kleinhenz, siblings and in-laws, Herman & Alice Boehmer, Dorothy & Elmer Fink, Roger Schoch, Walter & Beatrice Boehmer, Paul Borges, Joseph Kleinhenz & Lucille Kleinhenz-Heric, Paul & Irene Kleinhenz, Mary & Cornelius Heitbrink, Walter & Adeline Kleinhenz, Katherine & Andrew Broering, Stanley & Martha Kleinhenz, Thomas Kleinhenz, Andrew Kleinhenz.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, and the Altar Rosary Sodality. She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School in St. Marys, Class of 1945. She was co-owner of Kleinhenz Carry-Out with her husband Harold and his brother Paul & Irene Kleinhenz. Virginia worked at the Carry-out and later Gel's Market. Virginia enjoyed dancing and playing cards as well as socializing with friends and family.
A Mass of Christian Burial with respects to social distancing will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Livestreaming of the funeral Mass will be available https://sthenrycluster.com/livestream/. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
The family would like to receive friends but due to the COVID pandemic the viewing will be kept private. Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry is handling the arrangements.
