Olen Bollenbacher
Olen E. Bollenbacher, 85, of Decatur and formerly of Geneva, IN and Celina, OH passed away on April 7 at his home. He was born on July 2, 1935 to Victor and Chloe (Douglas) Bollenbacher. He was a lifelong member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, Ohio. On March 23, 1956, he married Mary Anne (Brown) Bollenbacher. Olen was a grain farmer all his life. He thoroughly enjoyed farming.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, and their four children, Terry (Kim) Bollenbacher of Ossian, Rod (Cathy) Bollenbacher of Geneva, Tricia (Kevin) Haworth of Decatur, and Tammy (Stan) Becher of Berne. Also surviving is his sister, Alethea Martin of Berne and sister-in-law, Pat Highley of Wabash, Ohio. Grandchildren Kristy (Eventt) Norris, Tiffany (Brian) Turk, Ashley (Alex) Lichtle, Susie (Brian) Brown, Ramsey (Erin) Bollenbacher, Vince (Joni) Bollenbacher, Abby (Shawn) Huey, Mandy (Chad) Ogg, Keaton (Samantha) Becher, Graham Becher and 25 Great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, grandson Spencer Haworth, and brother-in-laws Willis Martin and Bob Highley.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga on Sunday, April 18 at 2:00. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Preferred memorials are to go to Zion Lutheran Church 9716 State Route 49, Rockford, OH 45882 or to Visiting Nurse 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46814.
