Paul Tobe
Paul F. Tobe, age 90, of Coldwater died Monday, April 12, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born June 23, 1930 in St. Henry to the late Bernard J. & Bertha (Muhlenkamp) Tobe. On October 10, 1953 he married Anna A. (Klenke) and she survives in Coldwater.
He is survived by children, Ralph (Rita) Tobe of Coldwater, Bertha (Steve) McDermitt of New Bremen, Steve (Marilyn) Tobe of Coldwater and Teresa (Bob) Heyne of Coldwater; son-in-law Steve (Mary Jo) Muhlenkamp of Trinity; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren with one on the way; in-laws Elmer (Mary Lou) Klenke, Urban Knapke, Esther Goettemoeller, Joan Ranly, June Klenke, Ginny Klenke and Pat (Joe) Brockman.
He is preceded in death by a daughter Carol Muhlenkamp; a grandson Brad Heyne; siblings and in-laws, Alma (Walter) Sutter, Alfred (Gen) Tobe, Werner (Marie) Tobe, Rita (Malcolm) Francks, Dolores (Victor) Wimmers, Herbert (Rosemary) Tobe, Carl (Dorothy) Tobe, Bill (Franny) Klenke, Mildred Knapke, Delores (Marvin) Muhlenkamp, Dan Goettemoeller, Mary Lou (Harold) Ranly, Bob Klenke, Don (Lillie) Klenke, Ivo Klenke, and Mike Stachler.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, the men's holy name society of the church, the Coldwater American Legion and the Coldwater Eagles. Paul served in the US Army in Korea. He worked 2 years at the former New Idea Plant, he retired from Pax Steel after 42 years and worked part-time at Pax Machine for 12 years. Paul coached his girls and others in softball for years, he followed Coldwater sports and was an active volunteer at the church and legion.
  Mass of Christian Burial following all CDC Guidelines will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm on Friday and 12 to 12:45 pm Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
