Alfred Dircksen
Alfred J. Dircksen, age 74, of Coldwater, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Joint Township Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born November 19, 1946 in Coldwater to the late Henry & Marie (Hoehne) Dircksen. He graduated from Versailles High School in 1965. On September 6, 1969 he married Karen S. (Hierholzer) and she died February 9, 2018.
He is survived by his children: Kimberly Sue (Eron) Livingston of New Weston, Dale (Karen) Dircksen of Greenville, Kelly (Troy) Steinbrunner of Coldwater, Katie Dircksen of Greenville and Kendra (Jason) Aller of Celina; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a special everyday friend Kay Jones of Ansonia, Richard (Connie) Dirscksen of Versailles, Rita (Jerry) Siefring of St. Henry, Bob (Michelle) Dircksen of Versailles, Ruth (Gary) Delzeith of Burkettsville, Ed (Linda) Dircksen Minster, Barb Dircksen of Versailles and Cathy (Chris) Shue of Fletcher; a sister-in-law Cheryl (Leon) Bergman of Maria Stein; stepmother-in-law Irma Vagedes-Hierholzer of Jamestown, Tennessee.
Al did not know a stranger and he enjoyed trying to bring humor into other people's lives. He retired from Minster Machine after 34 years and enjoyed hauling livestock.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday and from 9 to 10 AM Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
